Davy Crockett was born on august 17, 1786, in Tennessee. He's also known as David Crockett. He had 8 siblings. In 1813, Crockett joined the war as a scout. At the age of 8, he learned how to shoot a rifle.
Davy Crockett was a scout in the war in 1813. He became a member of the Tennessee State House of Representatives from 1821-23.
Davy Crockett's famous saying, "Always be sure you are right, than go ahead," became famous all around North America. He even had a 5 cent stamp commemorating him in 1967. He is also known for fighting in the Texas Revolution for the freedom of Texas. He was also in various stage plays.
